Salle JEUDI is going INTERNATIONAL

The group is developing links with clubs in POLAND and DENMARK. Both have shown interest in the development of our group policy and the joint training scheme.

It is hoped to visit the Polish clubs in the new year. Visits to the Danish club are expected to take place in the late spring.

Salle JEUDI

is now in its 29 year

On St Georges Day 2011 Salle JEUDI will be 30 years old. Not perhaps the oldest club in the area it has non the less over the years introduced a great many people to the Art of Fencing.

Many who would under normal circumstances could not have been given the chance to fence. In the early years when the club was developing it was decided to encourage groups and areas who would not normally consider fencing a sport open to them. Taking the sport out into the state school arena was perhaps the most challenging and at the same time the most satisfying aspect of the clubs development. Many of these students have gone on to fence at university and longer established top grade clubs. In all there must have been over 4000 pupils through the various Salle JEUDI and school club doors.
